General Changes for 4.45

The following changes have been made for release 4.45

Institution Settings Changes

The following institution settings have been added.

Area This field Holds this information...
UCAS HE UCAS HE Default application cancelled progress code Application progress code to use for Cancelled UCAS applications
UCAS HE Default application substituted progress code Application progress code to use for Substituted UCAS applications
Identity Server Dual authentication button text Text shown on the dual authentication button on the login page in ontrack

ebs Authentication for Ontrack Hub? (Y/N) Y/N option to determine if ebs username and password fields are displayed on the login page

The following changes have been made to existing institution settings:

  • BI admin password has been renamed to Intel Admin Password.

  • BI integration user password has been hidden as this is no longer required for the Intel integration.

  • Dual authentication link message for ontrack Hub has been renamed to Dual authentication button alt/hint text to reflect the change from a hyperlink to a button on the login page.

  • Store uploaded learner documents in the database? has been hidden and set to N by default. This setting is redundant and potentially confusing. Any references to this setting were modified to reference the other existing institution setting Store uploaded documents in the file system?

    • If Store uploaded documents in the file system? = Y, the file is saved in the server file system, using the path specified in the institution setting: Directory path for uploaded files when storing to file system.

    • If Store uploaded documents in the file system? = N, the file is saved in the database as a binary object.

Changes for Service Pack 3

The validation of file names has been updated to enable the import of ASF (Adult skills fund) postcode files from the UK government. The files contain data showing the funding bodies that are responsible for funding each postcode in England. This change was necessitated by the change of name from AEB (Adult education budget) to ASF (Adult skills fund). For more information on the postcode data files, go to Adult skills fund postcode files.
